Thomas B. Donaldson is of counsel to Donaldson & Chilliest LLP. He concentrates on all forms of litigation, government affairs and business development.
Thomas’ litigation practice includes major crimes, real property leases and family law. He handles all facets of litigation including cross and direct examinations, opening statements, summations and pre-trial matters and directs and conducts investigations, depositions, discovery and motion practice.
In the area of government affairs his focus is policy and program analysis of economic and community development projects; development and facilitation of transformative initiatives for economically disadvantaged communities; the defense and advancement of inner-city youth; and, capacity building of fledgling and emerging small businesses.
In the area of small business, Mr. Donaldson serves as counsel to entrepreneurial and emerging small businesses on all business matters including strategic capitalization and investment, contractual logistics, entity structure and long-term business development.
His clients include restaurateurs, retailers, landlords, government officials, and project developers.
Prior to joining the firm, Thomas served as the principal legislative counsel to the New York City Council’s Committees on Economic Development and Community Development and Chief of Staff in the Florida State Senate.
Mr. Donaldson is married with three children and resides in New York City.
