Anthony S. Chilliest, Esq.

Mr. Chilliest is a California native transplanted to the City of New York. He is a graduate of Wilberforce University, the nation’s oldest Historically Black College or University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in both Psychology and Sociology in 1991. He received his Juris Doctorate degree from The Ohio Northern University in 1994.
Mr. Chilliest began his career practicing law at The Kings County Legal Aid Society Criminal Defense Division. He became a Senior Trial attorney in 1995 and served as such until 2001 when he left to begin his own practice. During his tenure at the Kings County Legal Aid Society he represented a countless number of indigent individuals in both Felony and Misdemeanor matters. Additionally, Mr. Chilliest was responsible for training attorneys in areas such as the Vehicle and Traffic Law, Grand Jury Practice and Justification as a Defense.
In 2001 Mr. Chilliest became a founding partner of Donaldson, Chilliest & Mc Daniel, LLP (currently “Donaldson & Chilliest, LLP”) one of New York City’s largest minority owned and operated law firms. There, he diversified his practice areas to include Real Property Law, Estates and Trust Law , Domestic Relations and Family Law ,Not for Profit Law and Commercial and Residential Real Estate Transactions. As a senior partner of the law firm, Mr. Chilliest fields include: Commercial Real Estate, both transactional and litigation. Furthermore, a considerable amount of his practice involves the formation, and representation of Not for Profit Corporations in conjunction with the Development of Small to Medium Size Corporate Entities and Franchises. Mr. Chilliest also advises on creative methods to collateralize Commercial Entities and Strategic Development Projects. He has represented various financial institutions (i.e. J.P. Morgan Chase Bank, CitiMortgage, Wells Fargo Bank) and other non-traditional lenders in various Commercial Transactions.
In addition to his diverse law practice, Mr. Chilliest is or has been a member of a number of Bar Associations which include, the American Bar Association, the New York City Bar Association, the Metropolitan Black Bar Association, the Bronx Black Bar Association among others. Furthermore, he serves as General Counsel or sits on the Board of numerous Not-for-Profit Organizations in the State of New York. As a commitment to his community he invests a considerable amount of his personal time mentoring “inner city” youth, both male and female. He is admitted to practice in the State of New York, and both the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York of the United States District Court.
